Optimize CMS Display on Projectors or to improve accessibility of the CMS
Introduction
Goal
Use an alternative color scheme that is optimized for higher contrast Bloomreach Experience Manager.
Background
There can be cases where the CMS user interface color scheme needs higher contrast. This can be the case to improve accessibility or when you want to display the CMS user interface on a projector. Projectors typically don't have the same image quality as a computer monitor. Especially older projectors often have particularly low contrast, making it hard to see what is being projected on the screen. When using a projector to display Bloomreach Experience Manager (e.g. in a sales presentation or user training) it is recommended to use an alternative color scheme that is optimized for display on projectors. Hippo provides such a scheme using the browser plugin Stylish.
Instructions
To use the color scheme optimized for high contrast follow these steps:
- Install the Stylish browser plugin:
- Visit https://userstyles.org/styles/120360/hippo-cms-10-1-high-contrast.
- Click on the Install with Stylish button.
- At this point the new color scheme will be applied to all websites.
- To use the color scheme only at specific URLs (e.g. your CMS) click on the Stylish Icon in the top right of the browser.
- Click on Manage Styles.
- Under "Bloomreach Experience Manager 10.1 High Contrast" in the right hand panel click on Edit.
- In the bottom right after Applies to Everything click on Specify.
- Enter the URL(s) you would like to restrict the style to.
- Click on Save.
